This week the success principle is “feedback.” What I mean by “feedback” is getting input from those around us in order to not only identify problem areas, but to resolve the problems and/or improve areas of our lives. Coaches, trainers, pastors, therapists, these are all examples of the type of people we may turn to for “feedback.”
Well it’s been a great week in the life of this author. Last weekend I spoke at Chapelwood United Methodist and had a great response from the conregation. Today I had an interview at Fox News that went very well. All in all it’s been a very active week. This weekend I am hosting the book launch party and we have over 250 people who have RSVP’d. I am holding the book launch to benefit my two charities Teen and Family Services and Covenant House. I am hoping to raise some much needed money for these two charities. For some reason the keyboard on my new laptop is going out, so I guess I will sign off for now.
Things have been a little hectic and I was unable to blog last week. This week I’m combining two weeks to catch up. The highlight of last week is unrelated to the book. The highlight of my week was going on a retreat with 11 young people from Teen and Family Services. We all went on a retreat where we did a lot of step work and had some great fellowship. I’m so amazed at how mature and spiritually connected these teenagers are at such a young age. I was honored to be a part of a great weekend.
As for the book, I did a radio interview with Monty who is the host of www.take12radio.com It was an in-depth interview that lasted an hour and a half. I think the interview went well and I hope it generates some good “buzz” in the recovery community. I have been working on following up with radio interview opportunities, and opportunities to speak at churches. So far I have 4 radio interviews for January. The new year should be very busy and I’m excited about the prospects for 2010. Merry Christmas and I’ll be writing again in the first week of 2010.
