Karen is graduating from the treatment center that she entered after reading the book! So far, she has been wonderfully successful. She is planning to go stay at a transitional living facility (halfway house) while she gets on her feet and get’s a job. I’m so excited that she is staying on this new path of transformation, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.
I went to a luncheon at The River Oaks Country Club for a luncheon benefiting Archway Academy on Tuesday. I told my sponsor Scott I would split a table with him ($750), my plan was to invite several other people to share the cost. Well nobody showed up! I was bummed that lunch was going to cost me $750. That changed after 15 minutes of hearing testimonials from several of the students that had turned their lives around and are doing great at Archway. BTW, Archway is a sober high school for kids with substance abuse problems. They have an amazing success rate. Check them out at www.archwayacademy.org It was the best $750 lunch I have ever eaten (not the food, the cause)!
