Well it’s been a great week in the life of this author. Last weekend I spoke at Chapelwood United Methodist and had a great response from the conregation. Today I had an interview at Fox News that went very well. All in all it’s been a very active week. This weekend I am hosting the book launch party and we have over 250 people who have RSVP’d. I am holding the book launch to benefit my two charities Teen and Family Services and Covenant House. I am hoping to raise some much needed money for these two charities. For some reason the keyboard on my new laptop is going out, so I guess I will sign off for now.

Boy did I need to get my act together on blogging! It’s been way too long since I wrote. I went to Colorado for 3 weeks and I was unplugged and disconnected. It was a good thing, but I got out of the habit of writing. Well, I’m back! A lot has happened since my last blog so I’ll fill you in. I just came back from speaking at two churches in Branson, MO and it went great. They have a wonderful recovery community and I was honored that they brought me out to speak. This month I will be speaking at Chapelwood in Houston and I will also be speaking at 2 high schools. It’s exciting to have so many great speaking engagements lined up. FM Houston will also be doing an interview with me that will air sometime this month on 5 stations here in Houston. Last but not least, I have a book launch party on 2-27 at the Houston Council on Alcohol and Drugs. Details for the book launch party can be found in the upcoming events section on my website. The launch party is open to the public, so if you want to come then simply RSVP. Book sales have been going well and I have received a lot of positive feedback from readers. It’s always nice to hear some good feedback to let me know the book is appreciated and liked. It helps my frail ego! Normally, my ego is not quite so frail, but bearing your soul in a book for all the world to read is a little different than anything I’ve ever done. That’s all for now. Last week was an amazing week. I went to meet with the president of AACC www.aacc.net to do a 1 hour interview. The interview went very good and he felt like it was one of the best he had ever done. The interview will be burned to Cd’s and mailed to their 50,000 members nationwide. I am humbled and honored that AACC has decided to give me such amazing support and exposure. Not only do I know God is behind me, but the power of networking and relationships can never be underestimated. This relationship came about through the help of a good friend of mine here in Houston. Utilizing my network of friends and family has been instrumental. Tomorrow I will be doing a radio interview with Monty from www.take12radio.com He has about 55,000 listeners which could be huge for getting exposure for the book. This opportunity came from me sending emails to various radio stations in an effort to get awareness for the book. It’s going to be a busy and exciting week. Lot’s of praying and hard work.
